The :60 is approved. Now the client wants a :30 and a :15, and the product claim has to keep its qualifier in both. Each shorter version needs to start from the approved edit and its camera originals, then finish in your NLE.
How Stringout solves this
01
Shorten videos in just a few clicks.
Start from the current cut, including a supported edit returned from your NLE. Ask a connected AI assistant for a :30 and a :15. It proposes each length as a separate cut, built from the clips in your edit and other footage in the project. The approved edit stays as it was, so you can review both lengths against it.
Flatten multicam clips and nested sequences before returning a cut. Unsupported retiming or effects that change source ranges can prevent Stringout from importing it.
Stringout’s own transcription and on-device AI are free and unlimited. The assistant’s plan limits and data terms apply to the transcripts, metadata or media it receives.

02
Restore parts of the edit from old timelines.
Bring back a line or shot from an earlier saved cut without undoing the edit you have now. Ask a connected assistant to inspect the earlier version, find its original source ranges and add the wanted material to a new revision of your current cut. The earlier versions stay available.
Review the restored passage against its original recording. Check the surrounding words and picture so the shorter version keeps the context you intended before you accept the new cut.

03
Open any Stringout Project in an NLE.
Open your Stringout project’s current cut in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro. Choose your NLE from the project’s export menu to continue with an editable timeline linked to the source files.
Make sure the required source media is available, then check the imported timeline before finishing. Effects, graphics, grading and final delivery stay in your NLE.
The result
Separate cuts for review and NLE finishing
Each shorter proposal is a child of the current cut, with the earlier version preserved. The editor can check its source choices, finish the selected version in the NLE, and use a supported returned edit as the basis for later notes.
